Second Miracle Recognized For Canonization Process

Carlo Acutis, the Teenage "God's Influencer," on the Path to Sainthood

Second Miracle Recognized for Canonization Process

Pope Francis has approved the second miracle attributed to the late Italian teenager Carlo Acutis, who is now one step closer to becoming the first millennial saint.

Acutis, who earned the nickname "God's influencer," was a devout Catholic and a computer prodigy who used his tech skills to spread the Gospel. Despite being diagnosed with leukemia at the age of 14, he continued to inspire others with his unwavering faith and love for God.

The first miracle recognized for Acutis's canonization involved the healing of a child from a pancreatic disorder. The second miracle, recognized on May 23, 2024, is related to a woman from Costa Rica who was miraculously cured of a serious illness.

With this latest development, Acutis is now one step closer to being canonized. The Catholic Church will now review the evidence and determine if Acutis will be declared a saint, likely sometime in 2025.
